Basically, I don't mind that security feature but I don't want users to have to click 'Run' on this dialogue every morning when we launch the software to them. Does anyone know of a way to disable this security warning for just the one file/program rather than for a file type? We're on Windows 7 x86 and the remote server is Win 2008 R2. Yes, it's a Windows warning. Or at least it appears to be-the title bar says Windows Security. Interestingly something I did (or maybe a Windows Update) has changed the message. I just right-clicked on a file to double-check the message. The window title says Windows Security. Tip Disable 'Your Windows 7 PC is Out of Support' Full Screen Banner. The reminder message or warning tells Windows 7 users that Microsoft is going to end supporting Windows 7 after January 14, 2020. Microsoft will no longer release security updates and will not provide any technical support to users once Windows 7 reaches this date.
In the left pane, click on to expand User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Windows Components, and Attachment Manager.
In the right pane, double click on Inclusion list for low file types.
Enable it and type the kind/extension of file that you would like to disable the security warning for (if it is an EXE file, then type .exe). If you have multiple files (like bat, dba and xls, then seperate them with semicolon (;)
This is how that would look like:
.bat;.dba;.xls
